Manager, Business Intelligence and Reporting

Join to apply for the Manager, Business Intelligence and Reporting role at Canada Infrastructure Bank / Banque de l'infrastructure du Canada. Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is responsible for investing in new infrastructure projects. The CIB’s mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed and delivered in Canada.

The Manager, Business Intelligence and Reporting will be responsible for helping to shape the organization’s Business Intelligence and data management strategy and for delivering key insights, reports and dashboards to support the business. They will work with the Head, IT and Office Services, the Director, Application Management and IT Operations, and with the IT team, utilizing their technical and functional skills to ensure that business requirements are met in an efficient and compliant manner.

Responsibilities

• Develop the CIB’s Reporting, Data Management and Data Governance strategy and continuously refine it in line with the latest developments
• Communicate the strategy to different audiences
• Lead design and continuous development of a Data Lake and a Data Warehouse
• Design integration patterns for ingesting data from business applications into the Data Lake / Data Warehouse
• Oversee all Business Intelligence / reporting work
• Design and deliver reports and dashboards to the business
• Work closely with various stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements
• Establish a Centre of Excellence, providing the IT team and the organization with best practices, guidance and training as required
• Lead delivery of self-service reporting
• Manage external suppliers as needed
• Ensure resilience and security of the data
• Ensure compliance with CIB policies and procedures
• Develop policies and procedures as required

Your ideal profile

• At least 3+ years demonstrable experience with Power BI building reports and dashboards
• Strong knowledge of and hands on experience with MS Fabric (8 out of 10)
• Architecture design (7 out of 10)
• Strong knowledge of DAX (8 out of 10)
• Strong knowledge of SQL (7 out of 10)
• Strong data modelling experience (8 out of 10)
• Experience with Dataverse, Dynamics 365 for Customer Enablement (CRM), Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Strong experience delivering Data Lake / Data Warehouse
• Experience with ETL tools and processes
• Strong work ethic and a high level of analytical capabilities, attention to detail & problem-solving skills
• Team player with the ability to build strong relationships within the organization
• Nice to have – 2+ years’ experience in Financial Services
