As a Manager, Assurance your responsibilities will include:
• Leading and executing a wide range of audits, review engagements and compilations engagements for large to mid-sized owner managed businesses, over a variety of business sectors.Experience with ASPE and ASNPO frameworks is an asset.
• Analysis and review of corporate and personal income tax returns, compilation and review engagements
• Provide solutions to our clients for accounting matters and work with them for growth in current business and financial conditions
• Contributing to new business development by understanding Doane Grant Thornton and its service lines, as well as utilizing your credibility with clients
• Planning and leading teams, ensuring that client expectations are clearly communicated
• Participating in the coaching and performance management process of the practice by conducting timely performance reviews, providing ongoing feedback and training to develop junior team members
• Maximizing engagement profitability by effectively utilizing engagement resources

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Manager, Assurance? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:
• CPA designation (or equivalent)
• Experience working with owner managed private business clients within a public practice scope
• Agriculture experience would be considered an asset
• Demonstrated success in business development, advisory and team management
• A team player able to rally resources and work with others to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of the client. You'll work with teammates in strategy, tax, financial modelling and more
• Excellent written, and verbal communication skills, including exceptional interpersonal skills to earn the trust and confidence of clients and colleagues
• Experience with scheduling, organizing, supervising and multi-team managing is an asset
• Self-motivated, results-oriented multi-tasker who works equally well independently and collaboratively with a desire to grow
• Strong interest in coaching and development, with a commitment to personal growth
• Demonstrated ability to meet the professional and competency expectations of the position

Note: Our ideal candidate has experience in both audit and privately held business. Candidates that are not audit focused are still encouraged to apply. Those with a mix of compilation, review, personal and corporate tax experience are still views as strong candidates.
