Position Description

We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled professional to join our Finance team as a Manager – Accounting & Consolidation Projects. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with both the Consolidation and Accounting Policies teams, providing exposure to a broad range of corporate accounting activities. This position is ideal for a Big 4 accounting professional seeking to transition to industry and gain hands‑on experience in both technical accounting and financial reporting. You will be involved in complex accounting matters, special projects, and cross‑functional initiatives that directly contribute to CGI's financial integrity and operational growth. Based in Montreal, Canada, under a hybrid work model, this role offers a stimulating environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key liaison between the Consolidation and Accounting Policies teams, supporting both technical accounting assessments and financial reporting deliverables.
• Lead the accounting for business acquisitions, including purchase-price allocation (PPA), and ensure proper follow‑up accounting on a monthly basis until full integration.
• Review and advise on critical revenue contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance with IFRS.
• Participate in special projects, such as the implementation of new accounting standards and process improvements.
• Support the Consolidation team in specific accounting investigations and complex transactions.
• Collaborate with various internal partners (FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, etc.) to resolve accounting issues efficiently.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and documentation.
• Act as a resource for technical accounting matters, helping to bridge knowledge between operational and corporate finance teams.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of experience in accounting, ideally from a Big 4 or national accounting firm.
