Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support plant operations at our Chatham, Ontario location.

What You’ll Do
  • Support daily plant operations and maintenance for capital projects
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and facilities
  • Prepare equipment for seasonal operations, including inspections, repairs, and improvements
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and participate in root cause analysis and incident investigations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation, and work instructions
  • Support Process Safety Management and site safety initiatives
  • Help train and follow preventive maintenance plans and best practices
  • Participate in production pre- and post-season reviews
  • Maintain an organized, safe shop and tool inventory
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What Skills You Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of education and/or hands‑on experience in maintenance or a related trade (HVAC, millwright, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.)
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and critical‑thinking skills
  • Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work safely at heights, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Team‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety
  • Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift, overtime, on‑call, and weekends during seasonal peaks
What Makes You Stand Out
  • Two‑year technical or associate degree in maintenance, manufacturing, agriculture, or a related field
  • Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (433A)
  • Experience with material handling systems, packaging equipment, HVAC/refrigeration, or agricultural equipment

The salary range for this position is $62,660.00 to $78,320.00.

This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
