Overview

Interpro Pipe & Steel is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team in Camrose, Alberta. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Manager Maintenance is responsible for the management of the maintenance organization, oversight of the maintenance of production equipment and infrastructure, as well as the maintenance budget.

Responsibilities
  • Drive operational excellence in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost
  • Proactively work to reduce safety risks while creating a safety first culture
  • Drive employee engagement strategies to produce a proactive and positive culture that demonstrates the Interpro Pipe & Steel’s Core Values
  • Create an effective and collaborative atmosphere through positive leadership and team approach
  • Work pro-actively to ensure implementation of a unified maintenance methodology and approach
  • Manage the maintenance team, planning and budgeting process and ensure maintenance budget compliance
  • Manage overall level of spare parts including selection of appropriate spare part management programs and target inventory levels
  • Plan, implement and direct a comprehensive, effective and cost efficient preventative maintenance program
  • Provide recommendations to the Site Leader for the upgrading of obsolete equipment, plant expansions, and procedure changes
  • Develop and apply KPIs and metrics to track the progress of reliability programs
  • Train employees on reliability best practices including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to increase operational effectiveness, reduce risk, and eliminate failure occurrences
Requirements
  • Engineering degree coupled with a minimum of 10 or more years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with the development and implementation of maintenance reliability programs required
  • Management experience in a unionized environment preferred
  • 5 or more years of experience managing a maintenance team required
  • Demonstrated Leadership experience driving employee engagement strategies and developing a proactive and positive culture
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
