Job summary

A leading manufacturer in automotive components in Strathroy, Ontario, is looking for a qualified Electrician to join their maintenance team. The role involves providing maintenance and troubleshooting support to manufacturing plants while maintaining equipment and performing preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate will have relevant certifications and experience in a manufacturing environment. This position offers a unique shift schedule that provides 2 paid weeks off every 5 weeks.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification, Certificate of Apprenticeship (Electrician) Red Seal.
• Experience in a die cast, automotive, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and troubleshooting support to manufacturing plants.
• Maintain equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Participate in training and skill transfer programs for apprentices.

Skills

Electrician Certificate of Qualification

Experience in die cast/manufacturing

Arc flash training or hands-on experience

Experience with Motoman robots

Troubleshooting mechanical systems

Good verbal and written communication
