Position Description

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our office (250 Yonge Street)/client office at a minimum 4 days per week - subject to change at any time. We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Quality Engineering Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mainframe testing environments, automation frameworks, and modern testing practices. This role involves working closely with development, QA, and business teams to ensure high‑quality delivery of mainframe applications and integrations.

Your future duties and responsibilities
  • Perform mainframe testing (Batch, JCL, TSO, ZEKE, Connect Direct, File Manager).
  • Develop automation scripts using REXX, SuperC, and mainframe utilities.
  • Work with frameworks like Robot Framework, Selenium, Rest Assured, TestNG, and BDD tools (Cucumber, Karate) using Python/Java.
  • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Helios, GitHub, Jenkins, UCD).
  • Conduct database testing (DB2, Oracle, SQL, IMS).
  • Create and execute test plans and cases.
  • Apply banking/payments domain knowledge.
  • Explore AI‑based testing solutions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
  • 2‑5 years in mainframe testing.
  • Strong automation and scripting skills.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and SQL.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
