Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and maintain machinery within the chilled potato production lines during night shifts.
  • Carry out regular inspections and maintenance to guarantee optimal machine performance.
  • Monitor production processes to swiftly address any issues that arise, ensuring continuous operation.
  • Comply with all health and safety guidelines to protect yourself and your colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve output and quality goals.
  • Document machinery settings and modifications for tracking and quality assurance.
  • Assist in training new team members on equipment operation and best safety practices.
Job Details
  • Hours of Work: 23:00 - 07:30
  • Rate of Pay: £12.67 - £13.73 (after approx. 12 weeks training) + £1p/h shift allowance
  • Enhanced overtime rate
  • Previous experience as a Machine Setter in a food manufacturing environment is beneficial.
  • Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a food production context.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high production standards.
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
