Job description

Job Title: Machine Operator - Production
Job Type: Temporary ongoing with opportunity to become permanent
Location: Kingston, ON
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Hours: Morning and Afternoon Shifts - 8:00am-4:30pm, 2:00pm-10:30pm (must be flexible to work both)
Pay Rate: $19.00/hr

This position supports day-to-day production operations within a manufacturing environment. The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment, preparing materials for orders, and ensuring products are processed accurately and efficiently. This role is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with measurements, and enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate production and cutting equipment according to work orders
  • Measure, process, and prepare materials to required specifications
  • Sort and organize materials by size, type, and order requirements
  • Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
  • Prepare completed orders for packaging and shipment
  • Follow work instructions and safety procedures
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding workflow and production needs

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or general labour role
  • CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math and measurements
  • Reliable transportation to and from the workplace
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on a repetitive basis

Work Conditions:

  • Busy manufacturing/production floor
  • Prolonged standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
