Qualifications

  • 0 - 2 years professional experience in relevant industry an asset.
  • Familiarity or proficiency with Gerber Pattern Making and/or 3D software (CLO, Browzwear) is an asset.
  • Ability to lift 10kg as needed.

About this team:

From concept through to pre-production stage, Product Development is the front-line regarding communication with the finished goods vendor base, launching sketches, requesting sampling, fitting product, and keeping an accurate data library of the life cycle of a product. Product Development is a truly cross functional working group that pivot to partners such as Design, Concept, Global Fit, Technical Development, Quality, Merchandising, Finished Goods Sourcing, Raw Materials, and Go to Market operations to deliver a commercially ready product to our buying teams.

A day in the life:

The Assistant Product Developer supports the Product Development organization, under the mentorship & partnership of more senior Developers, to drive the commercialization of best-in-class product in partnership.

  • Responsible for sample management, style number, & colorway creation
  • Maintain data integrity in Flex PLM and other relevant systems
  • Support daily workflow that adheres to GTM deliverables & development timelines
  • Set up and oversee the style or group of carryover styles through to production readiness
  • Complete and manage identified style BOM initiation, fabric, trims, and technical components
  • Assist in the preparation of fittings and presentations as required
  • Facilitate the organization of samples for the product development team as required
  • Take clear and concise notes for key meetings and communicate to relevant internal team members as needed
  • Facilitate the ordering of wear testing samples with vendors and cross functional partners
  • Takes a proactive approach to advancing technical and product management knowledge through mentorship and training from senior technical and senior product development team members
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience; focused training in Technical Design, Product Management, Product Development or relevant experience preferred
  • 0 - 2 years professional experience in relevant industry an asset
  • Proficiency in MS office (Excel/Word/Outlook), Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Understanding of Flex PLM or similar PLM software is an asset

Authorization to work in Canada is required for this role.

Compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $55,000 - $65,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
