Job summary

A trucking company is seeking long haul truck drivers for full-time positions. Candidates must have a Class 1 or A driver's license with air brake endorsement and be able to work well individually or as part of a team. On-the-job training will be provided, ensuring that new hires are equipped for success. This role involves travel across Canada and the USA, with competitive pay at $37 per hour for a minimum of 40 hours weekly, plus benefits. Overtime is paid at a higher rate.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate company's long haul trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatcher.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections for defects.
  • Ensure cargo is secured according to safety requirements.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
  • Administer bills of lading and maintain log books.
  • Communicate with dispatcher and customers using communication devices.
  • Report incidents to the manager accurately.

  • Number of Vacancies: 6
  • Location of Work: Travel across Canada and USA with base at 12403 Old Yale Road, Surrey BC V3V3X9
  • Term of Employment: Full time, Permanent with 40-50 hours per week
  • Shifts: Weekdays, Weekends, Evenings
  • Salary: $37 per hour for 50 hours per week, overtime after 60 hours per week at the rate of 1.5 times
  • Benefits: 4% vacation pay

  • Report incidents to the manager immediately and accurately.
