About the Company:
Crown Packaging is an integrated manufacturer and marketer of corrugated cartons and sheets, printed paper wraps and wallboard tape. We have built a strong and loyal customer base by developing and nurturing strategic partnership style relationships. The two converting facilities, known as Crown Packaging and BoxMaster, operate with extensive customer reach and distribution capabilities throughout British Columbia and Alberta. Crown was recently acquired by Atlas Holdings with the objective of delivering significant growth and value creation.
We are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, based out of our location in Richmond, BC. This role reports directly to the Logistics Manager.

Please note, our location is not situated near public transit; applicants must have their own vehicle.

Position Summary:
Your responsibilities will include managing daily support for the Logistics Department: coordinating with drivers, preparing paperwork for outstanding orders, counting pallets, and recording the results into spreadsheets. You will also provide backup support for local dispatch operations and facilitate communication between customers, drivers, and the operations team.

Key responsibilities for this position:

  1. Count Pallets and Caps and submit to accounting; replenish based on minimum requirements and daily report.
  2. Count empty totes and arrange to be shipped out.
  3. Review and report all loads to ship to Boxmaster (sister company).
  4. Review any outstanding orders to be produced for Boxmaster and submit them to the Logistics Manager.
  5. Review and confirm all loads shipped. Report any discrepancies to Supervisors. Fax any paperwork that is required based on notes within Shipping Instructions.
  6. Organize Driver Trip Sheets. Fax any required POD’s that are noted on Delivery Slips. Distribute Carrier Invoices to the Logistics Manager.
  7. Record all Pallet Receipts into Spreadsheet and submit to CSR’s.
  8. Distribute reports to In-Town and Out-of-Town shippers.
  9. Review trailers loadings and ensure system is updated accordingly.
  10. Review Rail requirement through CN & BNSF System and communicate through emails to the Logistics Team.
  11. Communicate with Carriers for the Roll Receiving Schedule and ensure daily updates for all participating Carriers, Logistics, and Scheduling Department.
  12. Receive and/or direct any incoming goods for all departments. Stamp all receipts and record into log.
  13. Order office supplies.
  14. Ensure Trailer Inspection forms are generated and available for Drivers.
  15. Inventory Checks and Reconciliations.
  16. Adjustments and/or Communications to assigned carriers through accounting requirements.
  17. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements for this position:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience in logistics, dispatch, or a similar role would be a big plus.
  3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially for maintaining accurate records.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  5. Proficient in using computers and software tools such as Microsoft Office, email, and dispatch systems.
  6. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.
