Overview

SSP Canada operates multiple restaurants inside the Toronto Pearson airport. Our Line Cooks have the important role of receiving food orders, preparing delicious dishes for our guests, properly setting up the kitchen so every Expert has the product and tools easily accessible during their shift. Responsibilities
  • Follows the recipes, checks the portion of the recipes, the garnishes and present the dishes ordered.
  • Handle, store and rotate the stored products properly.
  • Ensures regular maintenance, cleaning and proper functioning of assigned equipment and machines.
  • Completes opening / closing procedures
  • Put all the utensils used during the shift in its place, clean and tidy up its work place as well as the storage areas (includes refrigerators, freezers), empty, clean and store the bins.
  • Practice general and specific cleanings using the appropriate products as indicated by the manager in order to meet hygiene standards.
Skills and Qualifications
  • One year minimum experience working in food service environment
  • High school diploma, preferred
  • Verbal and written communication is essential
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
  • Food handlers permit
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long period of time.
  • Ability to obtain Transport Canada security clearance.
