Qualifications

• Journeyman or Red Seal HET certification required.
• 2 years’ experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician.
• Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset.
• Class 5 Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections and repairs on company vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure equipment is properly secured before work.
• Disassemble, inspect and replace worn or broken parts.
• Complete and submit paperwork for Preventative Maintenance schedules.
• Keep shop area clean, tidy and hazard-free.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and vehicles.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks.

Overview

Clean Harbors Red Deer, AB is looking for a Licensed Diesel Mechanic to join their safety conscious team. This individual will be responsible for performing maintenance, inspections and repairs on our fleet of company light duty trucks, heavy duty trucks and equipment.

Base pay range

CA$43.00/hr - CA$45.00/hr

Location: Clean Harbors Red Deer, AB

Schedule

Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections and repairs on company vehicles and equipment (light and heavy-duty).
• Ensure equipment is properly secured prior to work (chock blocks and jack stands).
• Disassemble, inspect and replace worn or broken parts; fit and adjust new or repaired parts.
• Complete and submit paperwork for Preventative Maintenance schedules; ensure documentation is accurate and timely.
• Keep shop area clean, tidy and hazard-free.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and vehicles.
• Perform routine and specific maintenance tasks and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all safe work practices and policies.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Red Seal HET certification required.
• 2 years’ experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician
• Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset
• Class 5 Driver’s License required
