Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Complete assessments and contribute to care planning.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and wound care.
  • Document care in PointClickCare and complete MDS assessments.
  • Liaise with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Delegate tasks to care aides.

About Point Grey Private Hospital

Point Grey Private Hospital, significantly expanded and renovated in 2020, offers 153 licensed residential care beds, primarily single occupancy rooms. The home spans four floors, each with a dining area, recreation space, and a large outdoor patio.

Nestled in a desirable location with ocean and mountain views, and filled with natural light, homelike furnishings, and a freshly decorated interior, Point Grey offers residents a comfortable, welcoming environment.

What You’ll Do

As an LPN at Point Grey, you’ll play a vital role in providing resident-centered care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting resident admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Completing assessments and contributing to individualized care planning
  • Administering medications, treatments, and wound care
  • Documenting care in PointClickCare and completing MDS assessments
  • Liaising with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Delegating tasks to care aides and participating in care conferences and medication reviews
What You Bring
  • Active registration as an LPN in good standing with BCCNM
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Proficiency in electronic documentation systems (e.g., PointClickCare, eMAR)
  • Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
  • Effective critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Previous experience in long-term care (preferred)
