Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd. is looking for a Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist to join our team. In this role, the LMS Specialist will play a pivotal role in modernizing the Company’s learning infrastructure by leading the transformation of existing training materials into a centralized learning management system. This role requires close collaboration with HR, IT, and subject matter experts to migrate, structure, and optimize training programs that support onboarding, compliance, and professional development initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Digitizing legacy content, assisting business leaders in creating and formalizing new content, streamlining course delivery and ensuring the seamless learner experience across departments.
  • Administer and maintain the LMS platform, collaborate with the LMS vendor (Docebo) and manage configuration settings, integrations, and workflows.
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and course enrollments across multiple departments and locations.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide technical support to learners and instructors.
  • Maintain version control and ensure training content reflects current standards and procedures; ensure alignment with industry standards such as NFPA, Health and Safety, CSA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Track and report on mandatory certifications, renewals, and compliance deadlines.
  • Generate audit-ready reports for internal and external regulatory bodies.
  • Upload and organize training modules including SCORM/xAPI packages, videos, manuals, and quizzes.
  • Analyze data to identify gaps in training and recommend improvements.
  • Develop user guides and conduct training sessions on LMS usage and navigation.
  • Work with business stakeholders to align LMS capabilities with organizational goals.
  • Stay informed on LMS trends and participate in the selection and implementation of new LMS features or platforms.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology, or Human Resources, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience administering an LMS (preferably Docebo).
  • Familiarity with life safety standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., NFPA, ULC).
  • Experience with eLearning technologies and standards (SCORM, xAPI, AICC).
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with gamification in adult education.
  • Experience with data reporting tools and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong time management and planning skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Project management experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Basic HTML/CSS or experience in LMS integrations preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and French (Written and spoken).
  • Ability for occasional travel to various branch locations required.
