Overview

About this opportunity :

Reporting to the SR Coordinator, Maintenance LTCHO, the Lead Maintenance Technician will provide leadership, supervision and safety support to the Lloydminster Thermal Assets.

This position will work off developed maintenance schedules as well as on emergent priority work as needed. The role provides Operations and Maintenance with updates on jobs status and supports planners with work scope, updates and also ensure materials and equipment are ready for work to be completed.

Work Environment :

This position is located in Lloydminster and requires the successful candidate to live in the area.

Work Schedule :

This is a full-time employee position working 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday, with a defined on-call rotation and occasional OT as needed.

What you’ll do
  • Troubleshoot various types of process, rotating, electrical and instrumentation equipment
  • Complete LOD assurance activities including LOTO, Hazard ID and audits
  • Assist with emergent work (P1 priority work)
  • Work with the maintenance planning and scheduling teams to support work order closeout, follow-up, and work management process
  • Support MOC’s from execution, TCCC / PSSR punch outs, to close outs
  • Provide oversight of high risk, non-routine work and SCOW activities
Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements :

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Red Seal Journeyman certification in Millwright, Instrumentation, Pipefitting, Welding, Electrical or relevant
  • Minimum 2 years\' experience as a Journeyman
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in troubleshooting and solutioning maintenance or industrial equipment within the oil and gas industry or relevant
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance and / or construction and with industry codes, standards, and regulations
  • We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
  • As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol / drug assessments.
  • For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver\'s license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver\'s abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
