What is the Opportunity?

The Lead Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for system business analysis activities on large Risk & Compliance programs with teams across T&O and Operational Risk IT. The role demonstrates advanced knowledge and ability in business systems analysis where you will be responsible for facilitating the flow of requirements from the business partners to Technology teams for delivery. As a Lead BSA within the Technology Team, you will be the subject matter expert on the program requirements, acting as the central point of contact for IT, T&O teams and partnering with Business to drive requirements review, refinement, design and traceability.

What will you do?
  • Work closely with product managers to ensure a solid understanding of business needs and translating these into systems requirements
  • Define the business analysis approach, plans and accurate estimates for requirements, including tasks & deliverables, and continuously refine them for accuracy
  • Lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to drive out business priorities
  • Analyze and document detailed business and system solution requirements in either iterative or Agile methodology using techniques such as user stories, story maps, system to system mapping, user context diagrams, using agile or iterative tools and processes
  • Apply advanced coverage analysis techniques to ensure relationship between scope, detailed requirements, and testing through to implementation
  • Communicate the impact of changes through cost-benefit analysis taking into consideration time, effort, and business priorities
  • Support Design, Development and Testing activities by providing requirements clarifications and root‑cause analysis
  • Support Business and IT program management team as required by ensuring business priorities are understood and IT teams are equipped with detailed information in order to develop and test solutions effectively and as per expectations
What do you need to Succeed?
  • 7+ years working as a Business Systems Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects / programs
  • Proven experience with various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and/or Agile, Experience in data mapping between systems for integrations
  • Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation, Experience in Data Analysis using SQL and Excel
  • Requirements elicitation techniques such as Stakeholder Analysis, Facilitated workshops, Observation, Prototyping
  • Requirements management and communication – requirements walkthroughs; scope and change management; traceability; configuration management, backlog management & prioritization
Nice to have:
  • Experience within GRC domains, preferably in Operational Risk, Regulatory Compliance, and IT Risk.
  • Experience with Archer 6.x or similar GRC tools
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
