The Mission

Canada is currently facing a human rights crisis of international consequence: poverty-driven disability euthanasia (MAiD). Individuals, blocked by state-enforced poverty, are choosing to end their lives with state assistance due to being unable to access essentials such as medical procedures, supportive housing, or even food. This systemic failure has triggered a United Nations investigation, criticism from the Canadian Human Rights Commission, and global condemnation. Right to Live Canada is engineering the only viable, system-level alternative to this crisis — Social Brokerage. By creating a pipeline between sources of raw capital and specific one-time support plans (Stability Mandates) for individuals in the process of applying for MAiD, the organization creates the "viable alternative" that the system itself mandates its assessors to find but does not currently provide. This represents the world's first market-based solution to poverty-driven euthanasia and the creation of a social impact credit system which exchanges philanthropic capital for verified, life-affirming outcomes, akin to carbon credits.

The Role

Right to Live Canada is seeking a Lead Business Plan & Proposal Writer to codify the organization’s vision into a high-stakes, investor-ready pilot proposal. This role exists to bridge the gap between a disruptive theoretical model and a concrete, fundable execution plan. The Lead Writer works directly with the Founder / Executive Director to translate the Social Brokerage framework into a professional business plan. This document will serve as the primary vehicle for securing pilot funding, institutional partnerships, and "Stability Mandate" investors.

Responsibilities
  • Direct collaboration with the Executive Director to draft, refine, and finalize the formal Business Plan and Pilot Proposal
  • Design the structural framework for "Stability Mandates" as an investable social impact product
  • Translate the "Social Brokerage" model into clear value propositions for philanthropic capital, private investors, corporate CSR and ESG spending, and other potential buyers
  • Conduct targeted research to support financial assumptions, market need, and scalability metrics
  • Synthesize technical, legal, and ethical concepts into a cohesive narrative for high-net-worth audiences
  • Create executive summaries and "pitch deck" copy that aligns with brand guidelines
  • Maintain version control and project milestones using Google Docs and lightweight project tools
Who This Is For
  • Has a background in Business Writing, Grant Writing, Technical Writing, or Management Consulting
  • Is an MBA student or graduate looking for a "cornerstone" portfolio project
  • Can grasp complex economic models (like Social Brokerage) and explain them with brevity and punch
  • Is comfortable working in a pre-pilot environment where the "product" is being defined in real-time
  • Is reliable, intellectually curious, and capable of meeting high-pressure deadlines
What’s In It For the Volunteer
  • Executive-level ownership of the foundational document for a national-scale social movement
  • Direct mentorship and collaboration with the Founder / Executive Director
  • A high-visibility portfolio piece demonstrating the ability to draft complex, market-based social solutions
  • LinkedIn skill endorsements reflecting verified contributions to strategic planning
  • Formal letter of reference upon successful completion of the pilot proposal
  • The opportunity to be a primary architect of the world's first market-based alternative to MAiD
