Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Toronto is seeking a Lead Developer to support a major bank by developing an integrated trading toolset. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience with .NET technologies and a strong background in API development. This position requires excellent communication skills and collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams. This role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence two days a week.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with .NET technologies including WinForms and WPF.
• 5+ years of experience in API design and development (REST, WebSockets, Spring Boot, NodeJS).
• Proven experience delivering low-latency, sub-millisecond response time applications.
• 5+ years of experience with front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript.

Insight Global is seeking a lead developer to support a large bank in Toronto, join the Trading and Execution Services team responsible for developing an integrated trading toolset used by internal trading desks and client‑facing teams. The successful candidate will sit on site at 155 Wellington street west 2 days a week.

Skills and Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with .NET technologies including WinForms and WPF
• 5+ years of experience in API design and development (REST, WebSockets, Spring Boot, NodeJS, etc.)
• Proven experience delivering low‑latency, sub‑millisecond response time applications
• 5+ years of experience with front‑end technologies: HTML5 or CSS or JavaScript (ES6)
• Hands‑on experience with modern web frameworks and tooling (React, Redux, Webpack, Bootstrap)
• Strong understanding of user experience principles and wire‑framing
• Experience with test frameworks (JUnit, Jest, etc.) and source control (Git, SVN)
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Experience with container and cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
• Exposure to HTML5 container technologies (Electron, OpenFin)
• Understanding of mobile‑first and responsive design frameworks
• Prior capital markets or electronic trading experience
