The City of Maple Ridge is hiring seasonal Labourers in our Parks section. This position requires hands‑on maintenance work across the municipality. Responsibilities include general park upkeep, tending to buildings and gardens, repairing vandalism and preparing for special events in parks, cemeteries and recreation areas. Working knowledge of the names and classification of a diverse range of plants, shrubs, trees and flowers. A diploma in Horticulture or other formal training related to the job is preferred but not required.
Driver’s License (Class 5) valid in the Province of British Columbia
Positions are based on an eight (8) hour day—forty (40) hour week.
Standard First Aid Certificate
This is a temporary full‑time position for approximately six months which may be extended or concluded due to unforeseen circumstances. The successful candidate will begin in April 2026.
