Details: Fly in/Fly out: Free bus from Prince Georges. Hourly rate: 22.00 per hour. Contract from 18th to March 28th. Meals and accommodation included.

Sodexo is growing. We are looking for a General Kitchen Help to join our dynamic team. This is a contract role in a great team environment with opportunities for work/life balance and involvement in food preparation for our consumers.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, season and knead foodstuffs for cooking, serving, and storing.
• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and store food properly, following temperature and spoilage guidelines.
• Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards.
• Maintain records and requisitions for supplies/equipment as needed.
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following Sodexo, client, and regulatory rules and procedures.
• May have basic cooking responsibilities (e.g., cooking vegetables, chicken for salads).
• May wash dishes by hand or with a dishwasher; maintain kitchen cleanliness (floors, equipment, material); manage garbage disposal and transport to appropriate containers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment and work under pressure while complying with health and safety procedures.
• Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
