Overview
Junior Title Officer, FCT — Full-time, Permanent. Projected Start Date: ASAP. Salary: $37,150. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to provide essential administrative support and ensure accurate processing of documents and information in a fast-paced environment.
This role focuses on administrative and document management tasks to support the team. It requires meticulous work, reliability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Document Processing: Sort and organize a high volume of documents from an internal inbox, route materials to correct folders and personnel, and upload/identify documents from lenders.
- Data and System Updates: Update internal systems with changes and new information; review and process sensitive payout statements to ensure accuracy before distribution to clients and brokers.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other Junior Title Officers and senior Title Officers (including Tricia Orr) to complete tasks efficiently. Interact with external lenders and banks online; the role is primarily administrative with limited phone communication.
- Payout Statement Review: Conduct detailed reviews of payout statements to identify and correct errors in paperwork.
- Lender Communication: Manage online communication with lenders and banks.
- Document Organization: Maintain organized title officer folders for various documents.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with general administrative duties, including preparing documents, filing, and data entry as required.
Qualifications
- Administrative Experience: Previous experience in data entry, administrative, or team-based roles is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to reviewing documents and handling sensitive information.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in banking, legal, or title insurance is an asset; understanding of mortgages is beneficial.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to quickly learn internal computer systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong team player who is adaptable and can handle stressful situations with a calm, focused approach.
