A leading engineering firm in Canada is seeking a Junior Civil Engineering Designer to support civil engineering projects. Responsibilities include performing civil design, assisting in project completion, and performing basic calculations. Stantec has an active Community Development Group that provides services to the land development industry in London Region and surrounding areas. The role of a Junior Civil Engineering Designer is to work on smaller projects, and as a team member of a larger project under the close guidance and supervision of a senior engineer/designer. You should be able to evaluate, select, specify, and engineer systems or products for a project. You will perform a variety of tasks which may include calculations and field work. The smaller projects that a Junior Civil Engineering Designer may be assigned to will have relatively few complex features.
As a Junior Civil Engineering Designer, you will assist more senior engineers/designers by performing the routine aspects of civil engineering assignments (such as grading, servicing, stormwater management, etc.) and may also assist in the analysis of proposed projects.

Education and Experience
You have bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering at an accredited civil engineering academic program and have previous exposure to construction activities. Minimum of 0-3 years of experience. Co-op/Internship experience preferred.

Pay Transparency:In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
