Accountant

The Role: As a Junior Accountant at Elite Travel Management, you play a vital role in the success and growth of the company. Your responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records and providing an unbeatable response to clients to ensure a seamless and reliable experience for all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• High attention to detail and 100% accuracy in all statements
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Ensure all journal entries are prepared and posted in a timely matter.
• Manage Elite Travel’s virtual payments program.
• Create and deliver weekly and monthly client reports.
• Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Review and reconcile employee expense reports.
• Prepare timely payroll calculations and reports.
• Respond to accounting and reporting inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide additional support and complete ad hoc tasks and initiatives as required.

Key Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service
• Post-secondary education in accounting or related field is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is considered an asset.
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including V-lookups and Pivot Tables.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
• Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
