A leading utility contractor in Vaughan is seeking a qualified Powerline Technician to join its Grid Response Team. This full-time position involves responding to outages, maintaining electrical distribution systems, and working both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate must have a Red Seal Certificate, significant distribution experience, and a valid Class DZ Driver's license. We are currently seeking qualified Powerline Technicians (PLT) to join our Grid Response Team for Toronto Hydro.
Reporting to the Senior Foreperson, this position plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and resiliency of the electrical distribution systems. It is responsible for responding to outages, conducting repairs, performing maintenance, and restoring power in a timely and safe manner. Working both independently and as part of a response crew, we are looking for self-motivated team players willing to work shift work (plus overtime) to ensure that service interruptions are minimized and that system integrity is upheld during both routine operations and emergency events.
Please Note: Valard Construction is CUSW Union employer. The successful candidate must be a member or willing to join the CUSW union.
This position will be part of the CUSW union and benefits are provided by the union.
