Position Summary

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our Electrical team. This role plays a critical part in providing technical expertise, ensuring quality installations, and supporting the growth and mentorship of apprentices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and industrial electrical work, an understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform installation, replacement, repair, and testing of electrical circuits, controls, panel boxes, and wiring systems, ensuring alignment with HVAC system requirements.
  • Interpret and apply the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) to ensure all electrical work complies with current safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct quality installations per electrical and HVAC system design specifications, upholding best practices and internal standards.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues, isolate faults, and carry out timely and accurate repairs to minimize downtime in production or field operations.
  • Complete all required quality control documentation, installation reports, and compliance records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Mentor and support electrical apprentices, fostering a collaborative, team-first work environment to enhance skill development and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
  • Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification required
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical experience in Alberta (HVAC experience is an asset)
  • Strong understanding of electrical prints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver quality work under pressure
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required
  • Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience installing rigid conduit is an asset
  • Ability to operate necessary tools and equipment for service projects
  • Willingness to mentor and collaborate with others in a team setting
Hours of Work
  • Monday - Thursday, 3:30 pm - 2:00 am
  • Occasional overtime available
