Attention to detail and effective communication skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest is the most important aspect of this position. This position includes indoor and outdoor components, meaning that your working week may vary.What will your compensation be?:The starting salary for this position is $18.00 per hourWhen does this adventure begin?:This is a fukl-time seasonal position beginning immediately and running until October 18, 2025.What perks can you expect?:$19.00 per day housing and meals (based on double occupancy)Refer a friend to the team and earn a $250 referral bonus!Join an inclusive, global team and make life-long connections.Enjoy free access to Pursuit attractions and 50% off for friends.Get discounts on hotel stays, dining, and retail.Access subsidized mental health and wellness resources.What will you do in this job?:Directing guests through parking and arrival areas while giving a warm welcome prior to entering the Glacier Discovery Centre (GDC)Educating guests on Pursuit Attractions and guiding them through the purchasing processProviding guests information on the local areaAssisting with tour group check-in, and coordinating with Dispatch regarding any changesTicket validation as guests begin the Columbia Icefield Adventure and Skywalk toursLoading & coordinating guests and tour groups on/off Coaches and/or Ice ExplorersOperating the point-of-sale system with accuracy and efficiency, including responsible handling of cash, credit cards, and cash out formsCommunicating with co-workers and management, forwarding observations and comments in a timely fashionUphold the high standard of environmental stewardship expected for all employeesOther duties as assignedWhat skills and experience do you need for this job?:Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest and employee is the most important aspect of this position!Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environmentPrevious guest service and cash handling experience an assetGuest service-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiencesAbility to think on the fly and outside the box with a positive attitudeSecond language is an assetMature, energetic, dependable and self-motivatedEnjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environmentGood conflict resolution and problem-solving skills an assetMust enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditionsComfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment.Be prepared for all season weather (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail)Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standardsTo honour our commitment to be “Always Honest” all employees must consent to a criminal record checkStandard First-Aid or higher an assetWhat will your work environment be like?:Beautiful.
