Job summary

A technology solutions provider is looking for a Level 1 and 2 IT Technician for a contract position in Laval. Responsibilities include installing and configuring IT equipment, providing support to users, managing inventory, and contributing to IT support automation. Candidates should have a DEC in IT or equivalent, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Bilingual in English with strong teamwork and communication skills is essential. The role is 100% on-site.

Qualifications

Job description

Alteo is looking for a Level 1 and 2 IT Technician for a contract position based in Laval. Three-month contract with the possibility of permanent employment. 100% on-site.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, peripherals, mobile devices, and software
  • Provide technical support to users (on-site and remotely)
  • Train and assist users with internal IT tools
  • Manage IT equipment inventory and stock
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware or software failures
  • Ensure operating systems and software are up to date
  • Manage user accounts and access rights (Active Directory, O365, etc.)
  • Apply internal IT management procedures
  • Contribute to the deployment and maintenance of security rules (updates, Intune deployment, etc.)
  • Participate in the evolution of IT support automation using Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra
Profile:
  • DEC in IT or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position
  • Proficiency in office environments (Microsoft 365 and Windows 10 & 11)
  • Proficiency in managing iPhone, iPad, and Android devices
  • Basic knowledge of networking
  • Proficiency in remote support tools, primarily Intune
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity (an asset)
  • Bilingualism in spoken and written English, as the position involves working with English-speaking suppliers and customers
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude
  • Autonomy, resourcefulness, and proactivity
  • Responsibility and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, both verbal and written
