Position information and language

Formal English language requirements apply. This process may be used to staff identical or similar positions with varying tenure, language profiles, and conditions of employment at the Department of National Defence, including the Canadian Coast Guard.

Designated hybrid work expectations: employees may work at their designated worksite at least 3 days per week or 60% of a regular schedule; some roles may require full-time on-site presence.

Education and experience

Essential qualifications and experience include:

  1. EDUCATION: Graduation from a two-year post-secondary program with a specialization in computer science, information technology, information management, or related field.
  2. EXPERIENCE: Providing IM/IT guidance to end users in a workplace or educational setting (internships considered).
  3. EXPERIENCE: Installing and providing technical support for Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) in a workplace or educational setting (internships considered).
