A Canadian government department is seeking candidates for an IT services role to support military members and employees, requiring experience in technical support and knowledge in computer science. A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established to staff identical or similar positions with varying tenure, language profiles, and employment conditions at DND, including the Canadian Coast Guard.
In line with Treasury Board guidelines, DND adopts a common hybrid work model where employees work at their designated worksite at least 3 days per week, or 60% of their regular schedule. Some positions may require full-time on-site presence.

Your résumé is required. To be considered, clearly explain how you meet the essential qualifications:
ED1. Graduation from a two-year post-secondary program with specialization in computer science, information technology, information management, or related field.
EX1. Experience providing IM/IT guidance to end users in a workplace or educational setting. EX2. Experience installing and providing technical support of Windows OS (Windows 10/11) in a workplace or educational setting.
CO1. Integrity and respect; CO2. Thinking things through; CO3. Working effectively with others; CO4. initiative and action orientation; CO5. Communication (writing, oral and non-verbal communication, including assistive technologies).
AB1. Ability to solve problems related to basic IT operations.
The following may be applied or assessed later and may be required for the job: mixed civilian and military environment experience, IT helpdesk/desktop support experience, Active Directory administration, and cloud environment experience (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
