Job summary

A leading retail company is seeking a System Engineer to support their IBM iSeries servers in Richmond Hill, Ontario. This 6-month contract role involves managing daily operations, conducting performance tuning, and ensuring system compliance. Qualifications

• 5 – 10 years of experience supporting IBM I systems as system engineer / administrator.
• Experience in IBM I v7.3 or above, applying PTFs, OS upgrades, Backup and Restore.
• Experience with third-party vendor software upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Lead enhancement upgrade, patching, or implementation of technology solutions.
• Work with hosting partner to install cumulative PTFs and upgrade packages.
• Setup and monitor IBM I security as per Security group requirement.
