Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Transportation team, based in Ottawa, ON office and have the opportunity to work on new structures, inspection and evaluation of existing structures, and rehabilitation of existing structures projects.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Assist with on-site inspection, analysis and condition assessment of existing structures.
  • Perform construction and life cycle cost estimate.
  • Assist with planning and schematic/geometric layout of new structures.
  • Perform analysis and design calculations according to the applicable design codes; use computer programs as appropriate.
  • Prepare plan drawings and details.
  • Assist in preparation of construction specifications.
  • Perform material quantity take-offs.
  • Organize design calculations; and assist with project construction administration including reviews of shop drawings and requests for information.

What your experience looks like

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience.
  • P.Eng designation obtained or will be obtained soon.
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
  • Bridge Inspection experience OSIM.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis software.
  • Familiar with Bentley’s MicroStation.
  • Proficient with MS Office software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
