Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for an Intermediate Environmental Professional - Scientist or Engineers to join our Contaminated Site Assessment and Remediation (CAR) Teams in our Atlantic Canada office locations at St. John’s, NL, Bedford, NS or Fredericton, NB.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Conduct comprehensive Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) from Phase I through Phase IV.
  • Contribute to environmental risk assessments—experience in this area is considered a strong asset.
  • Coordinate and execute field activities, including sampling of groundwater, soil, soil vapour, sediment, and surface water.
  • Provide occasional oversight of excavation and drilling operations.
  • Implement and uphold project-specific health and safety plans on-site.
  • Supervise site personnel and subcontractors to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage project tasks from start to finish, including subcontractor procurement, fieldwork oversight, and participation in risk assessment and remedial design.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports and proposals for submission to provincial and federal regulatory authorities.
  • Lead internal project teams in conducting multi-media assessments of complex sites.
  • Apply strong coordination and planning skills to meet client deadlines and budget expectations.
  • Play an active role in expanding our environmental practice across Eastern Canada.

What you will bring to the Team:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or Engineering. A P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation is considered a strong asset.
  • A least 5 years of hands-on experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and remediation projects.
  • Solid knowledge of both Provincial and Federal environmental regulations and guidelines.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan (FCSAP) or similar federal frameworks is a significant advantage.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment—juggling multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines, and traveling to client sites as needed.
  • Exceptional communication and technical writing skills.
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours and travel to project sites across Atlantic Canada and occasionally beyond.
