Duties & Responsibilities
  • Compile and maintain environmental data (surface/groundwater, air, soil, reclamation, GIS) in environmental databases and systems within the Environmental Management System.
  • Ensure data integrity via QA/QC protocols and RISC Standards, including coordination with labs and field teams.
  • Analyze environmental data to identify trends, anomalies, and forecast compliance issues.
  • Prepare data summaries for internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards (MonitorPro, PowerBI) tailored to mine sites and decision-makers’ needs.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Use insights to recommend improvements and optimization in sampling regimes, program efficiency, or data workflows.
  • Identify process improvements within the environmental analytics program.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
  • Diploma in Environmental Science, Data Science, or related discipline (Bachelor’s degree an asset).
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a willingness to travel as needed.
  • 5+ years of proficient experience with environmental data management software (e.g. MonitorPro), including a strong analytical foundation, preferably in the mining or heavy industrial sector.
  • Familiarity with provincial and federal environmental and mining regulations and reporting requirements, including GHG and NPRI; experience with RISC Standards considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (e.g., ISO 14001) and environmental data compliance and regulatory reporting.
Technical Competencies & Skills
  • Expertise with MonitorPro (or similar software); PowerBI/Tableau; Excel; R/Python; ArcGIS Pro (considered an asset).
  • Proficient statistical, trend analysis, and data interpretation capabilities.
  • Strong analytical thinking, clear communication, and effective organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in managing environmental data and preparing reports for both internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and First Nations.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining high standards of reporting and deliverables.
Wage and Benefits

Specifically for the Intermediate Environmental Data Analyst, we offer an annual base salary range of $84,000.00 - $106,000.00, along with a variety of bonuses. These bonuses include monthly efficiency bonuses linked to safety and production, quarterly retention bonuses, and a performance bonus tailored to reward your contributions. Our benefits package also includes paid vacation and personal days, 7% RRSP matching, and 100% employer-paid extended health and dental care, among other valuable perks.
