About the Position

The Interior Design Consultant is a member of the interior design team, responsible for assisting and aiding clients with their interior selections for their home. Design and furnish amenity spaces and show‑homes for multiple divisions within the company.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead show‑home planning and set‑up
  • Coordinate show‑home move‑outs.
  • Ensure proper planning for arrangement of amenities and efficient use of space.
  • Coordinate with team members to implement design ideas and make adjustments if necessary.
  • Schedule and meet with clients to make interior selections for their home.
  • Research ideal materials and make suggestions based on knowledge.
  • Oversee product re‑selects for discontinued and back‑ordered items.
  • Ensure the Design Studio has current products for viewing.
  • Follow up with suppliers, clients and colleagues regarding issues and questions.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Completed post‑secondary diploma in Interior Design, or related academic field of study comparable to Canadian academic standards preferred.
  • One (1) or more year’s experience in sales or customer service role is preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience as an interior design specialist, or other similar occupation, preferably in the real estate industry.
  • Ability to use computational design software programs such as computer aided designs such as SketchUp is required.
  • Data entry skills required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.
  • A valid class five (5) driver’s license and personal reliable transportation is required.
  • Criminal Records Check to the company’s satisfaction is required.
  • A clean drivers abstract is required for the operation of company vehicles on public roadways.
  • Manual dexterity is required to work with computers and peripherals
