Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Dorval seeks an Integrator for the Challenger Aircraft Interiors team. The candidate will act as a liaison between teams, produce certification documents, and support suppliers to improve processes. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 7-10 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in Catia V5 and knowledge of aircraft components. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Act as focal integrator between multidisciplinary teams and engineering external suppliers.
  • Prepare kick-off, PDR and CDR engineering packages.
  • Produce certification documents to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Support suppliers to understand BA processes and best practices.
  • Find opportunities for product & process improvements.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Act as focal integrator between Bombardier multi-disciplinary teams and engineering external suppliers
  • Prepare kick-off, PDR and CDR engineering packages internally and for suppliers
  • Produce certification documents (DCR, Design Compliance Report) as required to ensure design comply with applicable regulations (Transport Canada, FAA, etc.)
  • Assist/Support supplier to understand and follow BA processes and best practices
  • Find & propose opportunities for product & process improvements (cycle time reduction, ease of production, weight reductions, etc.)
  • Review customer aircraft specifications for accuracy across different documentations (Work authorisation, Rendering, etc.)
  • Be mindful of project potential technical issues and communicate them efficiently (critical designs, risks, etc.) with the team and management
  • Support & effectively attend/participate in the daily, weekly and monthly engineering meetings (DMMs, project review, Master plan, etc.)
  • Propose design solutions to change requests (RFC/PCR) from suppliers, engineering or methods department (production)
  • Participate in aircrafts go & see in production to assess build or installation issues and propose efficient solutions for short/mid and long term
  • Work with supplier and BA teams to analyse and provide impacts of PCR and CO changes
  • Communicate efficiently with colleagues, cross functional teams and upper management
How to thrive in this role?
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • You have 7 to 10 years experience in aircraft interiors & secondary structure
  • You are comfortable with Catia V5 (At least: Part, assembly & drawing)
  • You have good knowledge of MS Office
  • You have good knowledge of Enovia V5 (asset)
  • You have experience in machining, manufacturing & assembly of aircraft components (asset)
