The Career Services Unit at the Faculty of Information leads work-integrated learning programs, including co-op, practicums, and internships, while supporting faculty in delivering experiential learning courses such as capstones and community engaged learning. We also provide personalized career advising to students and recent graduates, helping them prepare for success in a dynamic job market.

Under the general direction of the Manager, Co-op, Careers, and Work Integrated Learning unit, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing the experiential learning portfolio, including capstones, internships, practicums and courses in the Master of Museum Studies and the Master of Information program as well as various other courses within the faculty that contain experiential learning components requiring community partnership and outreach. This role aims on building and strengthening relationships with our Academic Program Directors, faculty, and various stakeholders and partners that are leading experiential learning courses, and are of strategic importance in the Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAM) sector and in the not for profit areas. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing targeted outreach initiatives, analyzing potential placement opportunities to determine suitability with student academic learning objectives and advising and coaching students on the selection of appropriate work-integrated learning opportunities.
