DUTIES
  • Instruct Worksafe BC Occupational First Aid Courses on a rotational schedule to be determined in consultation with the TRU Community Coordinator.
  • Travel to other areas to instruct courses.
  • Maintain and clean first aid classrooms, equipment, and supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma.
  • A background in the medical field (first aid, paramedic, EMR, or similar) is required.
  • Coverage for the cost to become a Certified Occupational First Aid Instructor can be provided to the right candidate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to create a comfortable learning environment.
  • Culturally sensitive with the ability to build relationships and foster partnerships with local Indigenous communities.
  • Comfortable using technology for course delivery.
  • Ability to travel out of town on short notice.
  • Ability to work independently.
