Who We Are

Key Equipment Services, a division of Heritage Food Service Group of Canada, is the largest provider of commercial kitchen equipment service and installation in Western Canada. With over 40 years of trusted experience, we are proud to support some of the most recognizable food service brands in the country. We don’t just care about equipment—we care about the people behind it. At Key, integrity, craftsmanship, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

The Role

Installation Technician – Kitchen Equipment, Stainless Steel & Hood Systems

We’re looking for hands-on, mechanically minded individuals who take pride in precision work, problem-solving, and doing things right the first time. As an Installation Technician, you’ll play a key role in transforming commercial kitchen spaces by installing stainless steel counters, commercial hoods, ventilation systems, and kitchen equipment. Whether you’re securing a 12-foot hood or finishing a custom steel backsplash, your work directly supports the operation of restaurants, franchises, and foodservice operations across the region. This role is ideal for someone who is coachable, self-motivated, and committed to doing quality work safely. You’ll collaborate closely with our experienced service and installation teams, learning from the best while bringing your own skills to the table.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Installing commercial kitchen equipment, exhaust hoods, and stainless-steel work in new and existing restaurant locations.
  • Reading blueprints, interpreting installation specs, and ensuring accurate placement and secure fastening.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting on-site challenges with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Maintaining professionalism and communication with clients and fellow team members.
  • Assisting in managing tools, parts, and materials required for each job.
  • Ensuring work is completed to high safety and quality standards.
What You Bring to the Team
  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn—we value attitude over experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to challenges
  • Experience with basic construction, sheet metal work, or commercial equipment installs (an asset)
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Comfort using hand and power tools safely and confidently
  • A mindset grounded in integrity, accountability, and reliability
Why Join Key Equipment Services?
  • Industry-leading pay and opportunities for advancement
  • Every day is different—no assembly lines, no corporate grind
  • Work with an expert team that values craftsmanship and coaching
  • Company vehicle, specialty tools, uniforms, and full support provided
  • Full benefits: medical, dental, disability, and retirement programs
  • Ongoing training and development from a nationally respected brand
  • Be part of something bigger and help power the kitchens that serve your community
