Qualifications

Our EDMONTON WEST BRANCH has an exciting opportunity for a COUNTER SALES REP to join our team!
What You Will Do

The Counter Sales Representative is a customer-forward role that serves customers in person and on the phone, helping them select and purchase heavy-duty parts and equipment. You will work with your branch team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:

  • Provide product knowledge expertise in selling aftermarket heavy-duty parts to customers and build long-lasting customer relationships
  • Optimize each transaction by advising on products, product applications, returns, warranty claims, and special orders to meet all customer needs
  • Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, product catalogues, and features
  • Assist with cash and/or national accounts
  • Follow company procedures for sales pricing, processing approved credits, invoicing, and freight billing for customers and/or product defects
  • Complete online training as needed and champion brand lines or products
  • May be assigned special projects
  • May deliver parts to customers with a company vehicle
  • May operate a forklift within the branch
  • Other duties as assigned
What We Require
  • 1-5 years of experience selling heavy-duty parts sales, or a similar industry (Agriculture, Equipment, Trailers) preferred, combined with a high school diploma or other equivalency certificate
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements: Able to lift parts upwards of 50 -75 lbs., use ladders at varying heights, and frequently walk in a large warehouse
  • Completion of a parts technician trades program is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with multiple languages (Hindi, Punjabi or Urdu) is preferred but not required
  • Occasionally required to work Saturdays and overtime to meet business demands
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
