Job summary

A leading Canadian title insurance company is seeking responsible individuals for its Information Security team in Ontario. As part of our team, you will assist in security monitoring, risk assessments, and documentation. Successful candidates will be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s program and possess excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a passion for cyber security. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to real-life projects and gain practical experience in the field.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or similar program at an accredited institution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a business-friendly language.
  • Smart, adaptable, innovative, and passionate about cyber security.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt and improve systems.
  • Ability to write clear instructions, procedures, presentations, and training materials.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Information Security activities including security monitoring procedures.
  • Document and perform processes related to security monitoring.
  • Isolate issues using Security tools and suggest methods of tuning.
  • Perform assessments identifying related risks with IT teams.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting for PCI and SOC2.
  • Conduct initial investigations of escalated security events.
  • Write technical articles for internal knowledge base.
  • Execute and deliver a group project with co-op peers.
