Key Responsibilities
  • Vulnerability Data Analysis: Collect, normalize, and analyze vulnerability scan results (e.g., from tools like Tenable, Aqua, or Xpanse) to identify trends, critical gaps, and remediation priorities.
  • Risk Scoring & Prioritization: Develop risk-scoring models and dashboards to help teams focus on high-impact vulnerabilities based on threat intelligence, asset criticality, and exploit likelihood.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Create automated reports and real-time dashboards (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Grafana) to track vulnerability lifecycle metrics (e.g., time-to-remediate, patch compliance).
  • Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in vulnerability management workflows and propose data-driven improvements to enhance remediation speed and accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Partner with IT, DevOps, and security teams to validate findings, investigate false positives, and ensure effective patch deployment.
  • Threat Context Integration: Enrich vulnerability data with threat intelligence feeds to assess real-world exploit risks.
  • Compliance Support: Assist in audits and regulatory reporting (e.g., PCI DSS, NIST) by providing data-backed evidence of vulnerability management maturity.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management, cybersecurity analytics, or IT risk assessment.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Splunk).
  • Hands‑on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Tenable, Aqua, Xpanse).
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for data automation and analysis.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and vulnerability scoring systems (CVSS).
Preferred
  • Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC (e.g., GSEC, GWAPT).
  • Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses (Databricks, Snowflake).
  • Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and DevOps environments.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis or machine learning for risk modeling.
