A leading industrial gases company is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Technician in Thunder Bay, ON. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining plant instrumentation and electrical equipment, ensuring operational efficiency. A minimum of 3-5 years in an industrial environment and an AEC or DEP in industrial automation are required. This role requires troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in an industrial plant environment.
• Journeyman certificate in Industrial Instrumentation and/or Electrical.
• Previous industrial gas experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Calibrate and test safety system components.
• Troubleshoot and replace defective instrumentation.

Skills

Highly organized

Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC’s

Ability to read schematic wiring diagrams

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education
