Applied Industrial Technologies is a leading value-added distributor of bearings, power transmission products, engineered fluid power components and systems, specialty flow control solutions, and other industrial supplies, serving MRO and OEM customers. With over 50 facilities located across Canada and 650 Associates, Applied supports industries including steel, mining, forestry, agriculture, automotive, oil and gas, food processing, power generation, pulp and paper, and transportation. Applied provides engineering, design and systems integration for industrial, fluid power, and flow control applications, as well as customized mechanical, fabricated rubber, fluid power, and flow control shop services.

Position and responsibilities

Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Customer Service Representative at our London, ON location.

The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For

• Inside sales responsibilities
• Directly engaged in all sales activities
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the company’s service offerings
• Prospecting for new customers and demonstrating product benefits
• Build ongoing relationships with customers
• Responding to customer product inquiries both in person (branch) and via phone / email
• Providing support to the outside sales force
• Ensuring accurate, timely order processing through the computerized order processing system

Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following qualifications

• 2 or more years of Industrial or Fluid Power components sales experience
• Self-motivated
• Enthusiastic and exhibits a positive attitude and desire to succeed
• Interest in customer satisfaction and desire to provide excellent service always
• Ability to multitask in a busy office environment while maintaining professionalism at all times
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Analytical and problem-solving capability
• Computer literacy with focus on Outlook, Word, Excel, etc
• SAP experience would be an asset
