Inclusive Child Care ICC Coach – Jasper, AB

Kids Included has been paving pathways to inclusion for children with disabilities and their families since 1982. We were founded as GRIT (Getting Ready for Inclusion Today) and have led inclusive early learning for more than 40 years.

About the Position

As an ICC Coach, you will stay abreast of research and best practices in early childhood and special education, collaborate with community partners and multidisciplinary team members, and support educator capacity and child needs. You will apply adult learning principles, facilitate professional development, and provide coaching to help implement the Pyramid Model. This role includes supporting programs and families in navigating community supports and advocating for children with disabilities and extra support needs. You will observe, inquire, and reflect on program beliefs, values, and philosophies to guide coaching sessions and develop materials. You will use technology for data collection, documentation of coach visits, goal progress, and distance consultation. Travel within the North Central Alberta region (e.g., Edson, Hinton, Jasper, Whitecourt) is required.

  • Proficiency in a second language is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of pay: $29.31–$45.39 per hour, commensurate with experience and education. Hours: 15 hours per week. Vacation starts at 3 weeks of paid time off. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) available to all staff.

Physical, Emotional and Psychological Demands
  • Sitting: Prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Manual Dexterity: Regular use of hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment.
  • Visual Acuity: Ability to read and view documents, screens, and small text for extended periods.
  • Lifting: Occasionally required to lift/move office supplies or files weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Walking/Standing: Intermittent walking or standing during site visits or performing tasks like making copies.
  • Getting Down to Child’s Level: Bending, sitting on the floor, and repetitive movements to model strategies.
  • Driving: Between sites and out of town is required.
