Job summary

A family care service provider in Quebec is seeking a full-time in-home caregiver for two children aged 5 and 2. Job Details

NOC Job Code / Title : 44100 - Home Child Care Provider

Terms of Employment : This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is May 1, 2025.

Language Requirement : French or English.

Salary : Wage offered is between $15.75 and $17 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial minimum wage rate changes.

Location : FrDa… will be living in Lac Beauport, Quebec. The municipality is a rural area situated half an hour outside of Quebec City.

Responsibilities
  • Help with the care of two children aged 5 years old and 2 years old.
  • Supervise children when parents are not at home, and take the child to and from appointments.
  • Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
  • Bathe and dress the children until they are old enough to do these tasks unassisted.
  • Lay the youngest child down for nap time.
  • General housework that will include doing laundry and some ironing.
  • Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.
Qualifications
  • Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
  • Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
  • Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
