Overview
The Operational Excellence (OpX) team partners with patients, leaders and care providers across the hospital and its community to drive positive change in the areas of quality improvement and operational excellence. Reporting to the Lead, Operational Excellence, the Improvement Consultant will be involved in the design and delivery of strategy and operational improvement initiatives, while fostering a continuous improvement culture.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree (Business or Healthcare Administration) and healthcare related certifications are assets
- Lean/Six-sigma and project management certifications are assets
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience designing and implementing quality/process improvement projects in a healthcare setting
- Strong team facilitation skills with the ability to provide multi-disciplinary team members with clarity on project goals and a pathway toachieve success
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and address competing demands on the basis of priority
- Excellent data analytic experience, including solution design for complex data reports, automate data reporting using VBA, SQL or other methods, experience with large healthcare data sets, Cerner, Oracle, ministry level reporting an asset, experience with CI/CD pipelines an asset, familiar with data modeling, testing and validation an asset
- Excellent capabilities with Microsoft Office suite, including data analytics and visualization tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau)
- Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to succinctly convey the salient messages imbedded in large information sets
