Job description

Kelly Services is recruiting on behalf of our client for a permanent Human Resources Manager to join their team in Brantford, Ontario. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping HR strategies and initiatives that support the company’s goals and foster a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with legislation and company standards.
  • Lead recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a strong talent pipeline.
  • Oversee employee relations, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Administer benefits programs and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Manage payroll processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with managers on workforce planning and staffing needs.
  • Promote employee engagement, morale, and retention through HR initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR matters.
Required Knowledge & Experience & Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR management experience, ideally in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems; ADP Workforce Now experience is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (CHRP, SHRM-CP) preferred.
