Full-Time, permanent position at our Head Office in Brandon.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery, execution and continuous improvement of human resources strategies in the areas of Personnel Management, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Organizational Development, Change Management, Health & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement approved human resources policies and procedures.
  • Awareness of HR trends, business and industry changes and make recommendations for improvements to HR processes.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on the interpretation and administration of all HR policies and best practice.
  • Advise management in the implementation of progressive discipline, coach managers on employment issues.
  • Lead Safety and Health program.
  • Oversee company training initiatives
Qualifications
  • A focus on Human Resources with proven competencies.
  • 3 + years of HR experience would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources best practices.
  • Understanding of Manitoba employment legislation and labour relations practices.
  • Experience in handling confidential issues in a discretionary and sensitive manner.
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to develop strong relationships
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter as well as a professional team player with judgement to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy and ethical standards.
